Ramazan moon sighted, first fast on August 2-2011
KARACHI: The Ramadan moon has been sighted in various parts of the country hence the holy month will be observed from August 2.
The Ruet-i-Hilal Committee, headed by Mufti Muneeb ur Rehman made an official announcement on Monday.
Earlier the Central Ruet-i-Hilal Committee met for sighting of the Ramazan-ul Mubarak moon on Monday in Karachi at the Meteorological (Met) Office building.
The meeting was attended by members of Central Ruet-i-Hilal Committee, Zonal Ruet Committee Karachi and officials of Met Office.
